Ian Hutchinson & Don Mackee
Just over 12 months ago, while out on his regular weekly bike ride around Narrabeen Lagoon with his mate, 55 year old father Ian Hutchinson had a sudden cardiac arrest and was clinically dead for 19 minutes. ‘Hutch’ was fit & healthy with no heart risk factors whatsoever, and thanks to the quick thinking action of his cycling mate Donald MacKee and some good samaritan CPR bystanders, 000 was called, CPR commenced and Ian became one of the very lucky 9% to survive a sudden cardiac arrest.
