99% of Australian’s say that CPR is a vital life skill, but only 26% are CPR friendly.
With 25,000 sudden cardiac arrest deaths in our country each year some would say that it’s a community necessity for each and every one of us to take a few minutes to ensure we know how we can respond to a challenge and help save a life with CPR.
Ian Hutchinson, a fit and healthy cyclist was one of the only 9% to survive a sudden cardiac arrest last year, aged 55. Thanks to the quick actions of his cycling mate, and some proactive first responders who knew CPR skills Ian, 2019 Premier’s Community Service Award recipient, is lucky to be with us today.
